A big thank you to Graham and Rachael from Sweet Campers for providing such an excellent service for my daughters wedding. In addition to the excellent service it was all the little touches that made the day special. There was so much thought and personal attention, from the glasses for the Prosecco to the sweet shop favours which were enjoyed by all. More importantly it was the professionalism and friendly manner in the delivery of whole service for which we are so grateful. We hired Florence for our wedding day and was absolutely perfect. The personalised glasses and sweet bags were amazing. I couldn't believe how much detail Sweet Campers had put into making our day extra special. They certainly went above and beyond our expectations of being our wedding transportation. Graham on the day provided an excellent service and all my guests commented on how enthusiastic he was. You could tell he just really loved what he does. I hired Olive as a surprise for my fiancés birthday. All throughout the booking process and lead up to the trip, communication and information was brilliant. When we arrived to pick her up, Graham gave us a detailed tour of Olive, showing us how to make the most of her. We were quickly on our way. What an experience driving Olive was! Neither of us had driven an older vehicle before and it was fantastic. Throughout our whole trip we had compliments from other people on how beautiful she was. Olive has everything you need, is comfortable and amazing throughout. To make the experience even better, the customer service was second to none. Just returned from a magical vintage mystery tour of the Durham Dales and Northumberland in Olive, the beautiful vintage VW camper van. We had an amazing time in this lovely vehicle, something we have wanted to try for years and she certainly lived up to our expectations. The attention to detail was second to none including our lovely welcome pack consisting of a bottle of prosecco and a vintage bucket load of yummy sweets personalised with a lovely little camper van label, which now hangs in our kitchen. We rented Olive out for our wedding day and she was perfect. Graham was the utmost professional driving us to and from our ceremony. We rented Olive for my birthday in October......and we had a fantastic time! Although the weather stopped us from driving to the Lakes as planned due to it being a bit too windy, we found some lovely sites not too far from home instead. Communication during our booking was efficient and friendly, the process was completed with ease. Olive was immaculately presented and the owners couldn't have been more helpful offering us extra equipment should we have needed it. The vehicle is a pleasure to spend time in and our children were so excited to sleep up in the roof! Their faces were a picture as we set off on our adventure and the novelty didn't wear off for the duration of our trip. Everything we needed was there and Olive was warm and snug at night. My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of taking Olive out for the weekend down to Whitby and what a memorable and nostalgic trip it was..! Retro Fun I hired Olive for a birthday surprise for my husband who had fond memories of his Grand father's orange camper van. He was not disappointed. There was room for my husband and 2 ten years olds who toured round the Yorkshire Dales, stopping at a beach and music festival. Olive provided a fridge, sink, stove, heater and water supply. I booked Sweet campers in January of this year as a surprise transport to my friends birthday party. Graham was a pleasure to deal with from the moment I made first contact regarding prices. He was very professional and friendly. Nothing was a problem and I was impressed with the detail he took regarding our suprise mystery tour, top bloke! Then to the lovely Olive! We had a lovely trip to the Lake District with our two kids and my wife's parents. While not everyone had a seat belt for the drive, we were all safe and comfortable the whole way. It was great to drive around the Lakes in Olive and stop wherever we wanted before settling down for the night in the space we reserved. The awning was easy to set up (even in the steady rain) and offered plenty of extra space to hang out and to sleep. My wife has been trying to get me to go camping for years, but I've always complained that I just don't sleep well while camping, but I don't have that excuse any longer. Olive was super comfortable and I had one of the best night's sleep in recent memory. The boys loved sleeping up top and thought it was tons of fun to be up so high. They too slept wonderfully. We're definitely planning to camp with Olive again soon! Adam & Renee, July 2015

I booked Olive for a 4 day trip as a surprise for my two boys (ages 7 and 8). I asked my boys afterwards how they rated Olive and my youngest gave it a million, million stars – unfortunately Tripadvisor only allows a maximum of 5! Olive has bags of charm and after a few minutes getting used to her, she is actually great to drive. It’s by no means a fast drive - but we took it to Ayr and back with no problems. Picking her up was straightforward and relaxed and the instructions on how to use everything were pretty simple. It was definitely a feel good trip as people wave at you as you drive past and come up to chat about her when you park-up for the night. The only sad part of the trip was handing the keys back when we got back. Gordon, July 2015

We hired Olive the camper for our wedding day! She took the groom to the wedding, then took us for our first drive as a married couple (with some lovely champagne thrown in!) then converted into a vintage sweetie shop for our guests to take wedding favour jars to fill and then Graham & Rachael even agreed to leave her overnight at hotel so we could drive off into the sunset for a weekend mini-moon! Graham & Rachael could not be more helpful, we felt like we had two friends share our day with us. The camper itself is brilliant, all packed ready with all those little things you never think to pack - even a picnic basket! We are already planning our next trip and can't wait. We booked with sweet campers last minute for a family day out in July 2014, Booking was easy and the website was really useful we were a bit worried about driving the camper van as we'd never hired one before but my husband soon got used to its rustic charm and we even risked a last minute visit to Saltburn for fish and chips despite the steep hill! I was a bit worried about safety but our car seats fitted the seat belts in the camper van no problem and we'd definitely book with sweet camper again. the boys (including my husband) didn't stop smiling from the moment we set off. the seats were comfortable and the camper van was surprisingly spacious we'd definitely consider booking for a long weekend in future. the owners have included a picnic hamper, blanket and table and chairs which was really useful and easy to put up and the camper van has a fridge so we could literally just turn up with everything provided. We booked Olive after looking around for a long time at campers and we are so glad we did - we had the best time! Graham dealt with our booking brilliantly and talked us through how to get the best out of the camper van which is kitted out with everything you could ever need and is immaculate. We travelled around Northumberland - me, my husband our 2 1/2 year old daughter and Tiger our dog - every day was a brilliant adventure. We camped at the side of the sea two nights and on remote campsites the other two - just heavenly. Olive is comfortable, reliable, safe and secure but mainly she is just beautiful. She is really special - whether spending time driving on stunning coastal roads or taking an afternoon snooze with our daughter watching birds soar over Bamburgh Castle from the open back she is just perfect and gave us memories we will treasure. The hardest part of the holiday is giving her back - our daughter actually cried because we couldn't keep her. Don't think twice, book her - only not when we want her again ha ha ! We initially booked olive for our honeymoon weekend but due to unforeseen circumstances had to change our wedding date so instead had to only use her for our transport. Graham had no problem in changing our booking by 16 weeks as well as it's usage. During the full process graham kept in contact with us and the communication was great. Prior to our wedding day we were contacted with timings he also asked the names of my son and bridesmaid and it was lovely that on the day he had bags of personalised sweets for ourselves and my son and bridesmaids. There was a bottle of champagne for our journey to the reception. Graham arrived in plenty of time looking very smart. Olive has clean and well decorated. Once at our venue our guests were given plenty photo opportunities. My son even got the chance to "drive" the camper. Well pretend as he's only 2. I would definitely use olive for a short break.
